Similac Soy Isomil Ready to Feed
Similac Soy Isomil is a 20 Cal/fl oz, nutritionally complete, soy-based infant formula for fussiness and gas, and for infants whose parents choose a lactose-free formula as a first feeding or as a supplement to breastfeeding. As a plant-protein formula, it is suitable for infants of vegetarian families. It is a lactose-free feeding for the dietary management of infants with disorders for which lactose should be avoided, including lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, and galactosemia.
This spec sheet covers the ready-to-feed liquid presentation. The formula is soy-based and contains soy; it is made on dairy equipment (see Notes on allergen handling).
- Gentle soy-based nutrition: Easy-to-digest, soy protein-based formula; a lactose-free, plant-protein feeding suitable for infants of vegetarian families.
- OptiGRO blend: Abbott's blend of DHA, lutein, and vitamin E - DHA for brain and eye development, lutein for eye health, and vitamin E for developing cells.
- Immune and digestive support: Nucleotides to help support the immune system,* plus prebiotics to help promote digestive health. *Soy protein isolate is an inherent source of nucleotides.
- Bone support, no palm olein oil: Calcium for strong bones, with no palm olein oil.
- Low osmolality: 200 mOsm/kg water.
- Dietary certifications: Gluten-free, halal, and kosher (made on dairy equipment).
