PediaSure Peptide 1.0 Cal
PediaSure Peptide 1.0 Cal is a nutritionally complete, peptide-based formula for the dietary management of children 1 to 13 years of age with malabsorption, maldigestion, and other GI conditions. The protein is hydrolyzed and whey-dominant, and 60% of the fat comes from MCT and structured lipids, which together are designed to be easier to digest and absorb than intact-protein formulas. It can be used as a sole source of nutrition or as a supplement.
Each 8 fl oz (237 mL) serving provides 237 calories and 7 g of protein. It can be taken orally or given through a feeding tube and should be used under medical supervision. The formula is unflavored, gluten-free, and suitable for lactose intolerance, but it is milk- and soy-based and is not appropriate for children with milk or soy allergy.
